This is the central Vedic Yajna invoking Lord Indra for strength, fulfillment, and divine protection. In the Vāsiṣṭhopadiṣṭa Mantrakalpaḥ—a ritual manual taught by Śrī Gaṇapati Muni himself—Indra Yajña is structured meticulously as a full Vedic Agni ritual.

About the event

Indra Yajña at Vasishtha Vedic Tapovanam

Yajña on the New Moon Day (Amavasya) is considered most auspicious in Vedic Sanātana Dharma. Especially, it is known to dispel negativity, fight hostile forces and offer protection. In this Yajna, we include special mantra suktas that include 'Satru Nivarana & protection of Bharat' from Rg veda.


This sacred ritual is open to everyone — regardless of caste, varṇa, religion, or gender.


In this yajña, we follow the prayoga-vidhāna (ritual procedure) recommended by Śrī Ganapati Muni and meticulously structured by his beloved disciple Brahmarṣi Daivarāta Vaiśvāmitra. Through the chanting of ancient Ṛgvedic mantras, we invoke the blessings of the Vedic deities: Indra, Brahmaṇaspati, Agni, Vāyu, Savitṛ, Rudra (Śiva), Indrāṇī, Viśve Devas, Sūrya, Varuṇa, Viṣṇu, Vaiśvānara, Durgā, the sacred Cows (Gāvaḥ), the Waters (Āpo Devāḥ), and many more.
