A Humble Appeal for Gauśālā Extension

Vasiṣṭha Vedic Tapovanam

Namaste & Jai Gurudev

With deep reverence to Gau Mātā, the living embodiment of Dharma, Śrī, and Divine Compassion, we present this humble appeal to all followers of Sanātana Vedic Dharma.

At Vasiṣṭha Vedic Tapovanam, Gau-sevā is not merely an activity — it is a sacred commitment rooted in Vedic tradition and Ṛṣi-paramparā. At present, our Gauśālā shelters:

  • 5 Cows

  • 3 Bulls (including 2 tender calves)

The existing Gauśālā, constructed in 2023, was designed to accommodate only 4 cows. With the natural growth of our Gau-family and increasing responsibilities, the need for expansion has now become urgent and unavoidable.

An Urgent Need Arising from Nature Itself

The intense summer heat in this region, lasting until the end of June, has created a challenging and sensitive environment for the well-being of our cows.

What was once a planned extension has now become an emergency requirement — to ensure:

  • Adequate shelter from harsh climate

  • Comfortable and safe resting space

  • Expansion to accommodate at least 20 cows in the near future

A Unique Gauśālā — In Harmony with Nature

The most beautiful and distinctive aspect of our Gauśālā is:

Freedom with Protection

  • Cows, bulls, and calves are allowed to roam freely across our 20.5-acre fenced and secure Tapovanam

  • They live in a natural, stress-free environment, aligned with Vedic ideals

  • Only during nights or adverse weather are they gently sheltered

This model preserves both natural dignity and safety of Gau Mātā.

Sustenance During Dry Months

From January to June, natural grazing becomes scarce.

During this period, we depend on:

  • Cultivated green fodder within Tapovanam

  • Procurement of dry grass from farmers

This year, by Bhagavān’s grace, we have secured:Dry grass from 3 acres of paddy fields(Approx. 140–150 large bundles)

This ensures nourishment — but the infrastructure to house and protect the Gau-family is now the immediate need.

A Sacred Opportunity for Gau Dakṣiṇā

We humbly invite all Sanātanīs, devotees, and well-wishers to participate in this noble cause through: Gau Dakṣiṇā (Sacred Contribution)
