काव्यकण्ठवासिष्ठश्रीगणपतिमुनिविरचिता - इन्द्राणी सप्तशती | नित्यपारायणग्रन्थः
Indrāṇī Saptasatī is one of the most powerful and mystical Sanskrit compositions of Kāvyakaṇṭha Vāsiṣṭha Śrī Gaṇapati Muni, the great seer, mantra-draṣṭā, tapasvin, and foremost disciple of Bhagavān Śrī Ramana Maharshi.
This edition presents the complete text of Indrāṇī Saptasatī in Sanskrit Devanāgarī script, preserving the sacred form and traditional appearance of the original Sanskrit verses. It is especially prepared for devotees, Sanskrit students, traditional reciters, scholars, and seekers who wish to study, chant, and preserve this sacred text in its authentic scriptural form.
Composed in 1922, Indrāṇī Saptasatī contains 700 verses arranged in 28 Stabakas / Cantos. It is addressed to Bhagavatī Indrāṇī, also revered as Śacī, the divine power of Indra, and as the Universal Mother praised in Vedic, Yogic, Tantric, and Vedāntic traditions. In this work, Śrī Gaṇapati Muni reveals the Mother as the Supreme Śakti who protects, purifies, empowers, and uplifts the individual as well as the nation.
This Sanskrit Devanāgarī edition has been carefully prepared after verifying three different manuscript and textual sources of the Indrāṇī Saptasatī: the Śrī Ramanasramam text, Śrī Gunturu Lakshmikantam’s text, and the handwritten manuscript preserved by my great-grandfather. After carefully comparing these sources, this compilation is offered as an accurate and refined version of the sacred text for sincere seekers, devotees, Sanskrit readers, and traditional reciters.
This book also includes an introduction composed in Sanskrit language, explaining how Indrāṇī Saptasatī emerged, the background of Śrī Gaṇapati Muni’s Stava Bandha Dīkṣā, the spiritual significance and mahimā of the text, and the benefits of its recitation. The introductory material has been presented in Sanskrit to facilitate Sanskrit learning, encourage direct engagement with the sacred language, and support students and seekers who wish to approach this work through the traditional medium of Sanskrit itself.
The verses of Indrāṇī Saptasatī shine with deep spiritual force. They invoke the Divine Mother as the remover of inner darkness, the bestower of courage, the purifier of sin, the destroyer of disease and misfortune, and the giver of strength, wisdom, prosperity, and spiritual awakening. The hymn also carries profound references to Vedic deities, mantra-śakti, prāṇa, tapas, yoga, and the inner transformation of the sādhaka.
For the benefit of seekers, all 28 Stabakas / Cantos of Indrāṇī Saptasatī have also been offered as Musical Rendition Albums on platforms such as Amazon Music, Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and other major music platforms. Readers may use this Devanāgarī text along with the musical renditions to learn proper recitation, pronunciation, rhythm, and pada-ccheda, thereby making the text more accessible for daily practice, devotional study, and traditional chanting.
This edition is especially useful for devotees who wish to perform daily recitation or pārāyaṇa, Sanskrit students who wish to read and practice Devanāgarī, traditional reciters who prefer the original Sanskrit script, scholars and seekers interested in Hindu devotional and mantra literature, followers of Śrī Gaṇapati Muni’s works and teachings, and listeners of the Indrāṇī Saptasatī musical albums who wish to follow the Devanāgarī text while chanting or listening.
Indrāṇī Saptasatī is not merely a hymn of praise. It is a sacred mantric garland born from tapas, revelation, devotion, and the direct spiritual vision of a great seer. Its 700 verses are to be approached with reverence, faith, purity, and disciplined recitation. For sincere aspirants, this work becomes a source of strength in worldly difficulties, a support in karmic struggles, and a luminous guide for spiritual progress.
This Sanskrit Devanāgarī edition is offered as a devotional, recitational, and study text, preserving the sacred sound-flow and scriptural beauty of the original Sanskrit while helping seekers approach the text through the traditional language and script of the ṛṣis.
