dvitīyo māṇavaka stabakaḥ
In this Stabaka, Śrī Gaṇapati Muni worships Śacī Devī, Indrāṇī, as the supreme power whose smile removes the darkness that blocks the inner path of the mind. The hymn begins with a prayer that Her radiant smile may destroy the unconquerable ignorance hidden in the mental pathway and remove the unceasing tears of afflicted Bhāratabhūmi.
The Mother is praised as the destroyer of demonic forces, the beloved of Indra, the ornament of the heavenly realm, and the one whose grace cuts away sin. Her beauty is described through moon-like radiance, cooling glances, golden form, charming words, and love-filled waves of compassion. Yet this beauty is not merely poetic; it becomes the śakti that nourishes intelligence, strength, devotion, and inner clarity.
A major theme of this Stabaka is the unity of divine feminine power behind many names and doctrines. The same Mother is seen as Māyā by those who speak of Īśa as the cause, as Prakṛti by Sāṅkhya thinkers, as Kuṇḍalinī by yogins, as Lalitā by those who worship the Pañcadaśī Vidyā, and as Caṇḍī by those devoted to the Navārṇa mantra. For the Muni, all these are not separate goddesses, but different approaches to the one supreme Śakti.
The Stabaka also links Śacī with cosmic powers such as Agni, Sūrya, Candra, and the three guṇas. She appears as sattvic power in the Sun, rajasic power on earth, and tamasic power in the Moon. Yet She transcends all qualities, shines through all forms, and pervades the entire universe as the supreme brilliance.
The hymn concludes with a prayer for protection, victory, fearlessness, and inner strength. The poet asks the Divine Mother to make him a fearless servant, capable of protecting his own sacred field after a long period of defeat. Thus, this Stabaka combines beauty, metaphysics, mantra-śāstra, yogic symbolism, and national protection.

pāvaya bhūmiṃ dadhataḥ pāvakakāyasya vibhoḥ ।
bhāmini bhāvānuguṇe sevakamagnāyi tava ।।
yasya yamo bhūtapàtirbuddhimatastasya mate ।

yasya mahākālavadhūmṛtyurapi dve na vidaḥ ।
tvaṃ śaci medhā'syamate pāvakaśaktiḥ kamalā ।।
nāmasu bhedoऽstu dhiyāmīśvari niṣkṛṣṭamidam ।
sūryadharenduṣvajare tvaṃ tritanurbhāsi pare ।।
sāttvikaśaktiḥ savitaryādimarāme bhavasi ।
rājasaśaktirbhuvi nastāmasaśaktiḥ śaśini ।।
sarvaguṇā sarvavibhā sarvabalā sarvarasā ।
sarvamidaṃ vyāpya jagatkāpi vibhāntī paramā ।।

sā khalu māyā paramā kāraṇamīśaṃ vadatām ।
sā prakṛtiḥ sāṅkhyavidāṃ sā yamināṃ kuṇḍalinī ।।
sā lalitā pañcadaśīmuttamavidyāṃ japatām ।
sā khalu caṇḍī jananī sādhunavārṇaṃ bhajatām ।।
sā mama śacyāḥ paramaṃ kāraṇarūpaṃ bhavati ।
kāryatanurdivi śakraṃ sammadayantī lasati ।।
vyomatanoḥ sarvajagaccālanasūtraṃ tu vaśe ।
nirvahaṇe tasya punardivyatanustrītritayam ।।
pātumimaṃ svaṃ viṣayaṃ hanta cirānnirvijayam ।
