dvitīyo bhujagaśiśubhṛtāpādaḥ
This Stabaka is a graceful and intimate hymn to Śacī Devī, Indrāṇī, the beloved of Indra, the delight of the Lord of the Maruts, and the compassionate protector of Bhārata. The opening prayer seeks the removal of sin and impurity through even a small ray of Her pure smile.
Śrī Gaṇapati Muni presents Śacī as the secret essence praised by the Vedas, realized by great sages, and adored in the pure inner realm of the Devas. The Stabaka then moves into a beautiful poetic vision of Indra and Indrāṇī in the celestial gardens. Their divine love, mutual attraction, and refined conversation are described not merely as romantic imagery, but as a symbol of the union of divine power and divine consciousness.
The verses portray the heavenly couple through rich imagery: Her golden lotus-like face, moon-bright radiance, dark lotus eyes, bee-like hair, soft creeper-like arms, nectarous lips, and shining cheeks are paired with the splendour of Indra, the youthful sovereign of the three worlds. This union reveals Śacī as beauty, intelligence, sweetness, and śakti united with divine kingship and heroic power.
The Stabaka then shifts toward a deeper devotional prayer. The poet imagines Śacī sitting in the shade of celestial wish-fulfilling trees, discussing the welfare of noble devotees: to whom should wealth be given, to whom wisdom, to whom strength? Śrī Gaṇapati Muni prays that, in such a moment of compassion, She may remember him and his mission.
The final verses make the purpose clear: the poet asks Śacī to empower him with wisdom and strength to protect his sacred land, rescue his people from danger, restore them to the righteous path, and uplift Bhāratabhūmi, which is weeping continuously. The Stabaka is thus a blend of divine beauty, heavenly love, compassion for devotees, and national protection.

akhilanigamasiddhānto bahumunivarabuddhāntaḥ ।
suraparibṛḍhaśuddhānto bharatavasumatīmavyāt ।।

vikacakusumasampattyābhagavati bhajate yastvām ।।
amaranṛpatinā sākaṃ kusumitavanavāṭīṣu ।
bhagavati tava viśrānteḥ sa jayati samayaḥ koऽpi ।।
amarataruvaracchāyāsvayi muhurupaviśya tvam ।
śaci kṛtijanarakṣāyai manasi vitanuṣu carcām ।।
kimu vasu vitarāṇyasmai sumatimuta dadānyasmai ।
kṣamatamamathavāऽmuṣmin balamurughaṭayānīti ।।
haritaruṇi kadā vāme vinamadavanacarcāsu ।
smaraṇasamaya āyāsyatyamalahṛdayaraṅge te ।।
śaci bhagavati sākṣātte caraṇakamaladāsoऽham ।
iha tu vasumatīloke smara mama viṣayaṃ pūrvam ।।
na yadi tava mano dātuṃ svayamayilaghave mahyam
upavanatarukarṇe vā vada madabhimataṃ kartum ।।
nijaviṣayamatiśreṣṭhaṃ vipadi nipatitaṃ trātum ।
svakulamapisadadhvānaṃ gamayitumapathe śrāntam ।।
akhilabhuvanasamrājaḥ priyataruṇi bhavatyaiva ।
matibalaparipūrṇoऽyaṃ gaṇapatimunirādheyaḥ ।।
na kimu bhavati śaṃ deśe gatavati kaluṣe kāle ।
tava bhajanamaghaṃ sadyo harihayalalane jetum ।।
trijagati sakalaṃ yasya prabhavati pṛthule haste ।
sa bahulamahimā kālo mama janani vibhūtiste ।।
anavaratagaladbhāṣpāṃ bharatavasumatīṃ trātum ।
vitaratu dayitājiṣṇorgaṇapatimunaye śaktim ।।
